The Foley Library is a collection for use in feature films, television, broadcast, the Web and audio recordings. The library's contents are provided as 16 bit / 44.1 kHz broadcast wav files on DVD ROM. It was developed by Frank Serafine, a recognized leader in the field of motion picture sound design.

The Foley collection is a comprehensive sound effects library consisting of staple foley elements required for post production sound editing, including doors, chains and footsteps. The sounds are presented as full spectrum raw samples that you can use as building blocks. There are many derivations of a given set of sounds, giving you a broad scope of material to experiment with.
